Images of the Week: Jill Biden Covers Vogue’s August Issue

Fashion week never ends! This week we’ve seen Fall 2021 shows, Resort shows, and men’s shows. But the most exciting catwalk of the week was Marc Jacobs’s return after a year’s hiatus. Held at the New York Public Library, the highly-anticipated event was one of the first major fashion shows to be held in the city since re-emerging, and the colorful outfits and bold silhouettes certainly made it worth watching.
But it wasn’t the only notable return this week. Kendall Jenner came back to the runway in a hot pink ensemble at Jacquemus’s Fall 2021 show. She’s been loving the single-buttoned top as of late.
Dr. Jill Biden is our August cover star! The First Lady and educator spoke with Jonathan Van Meter about life in the White House. For the cover, shot by Annie Leibovitz, she wore an Oscar de la Renta floral dress and earrings by Tiffany & Co.
Princes William and Harry made a joint appearance on Thursday at Kensington Palace for the unveiling of a statue of their mother, Princess Diana (who would have turned 60 on July 1). “Today, on what would have been our Mother’s 60th birthday, we remember her love, strength and character—qualities that made her a force for good around the world, changing countless lives for the better,” Harry and William said in a joint statement. “Every day, we wish she were still with us.”
Finally, Serena Williams left the first round of Wimbledon after suffering a leg injury on Tuesday. The 7-time Wimbledon champion was favored to win, and was understandably emotional on the court. Wishing her a speedy recovery.
