[ad_1]

Graduate Fashion Week is an annual event which showcases the work of over 80 member universities, and is run by  Graduate Fashion Foundation.

Covid-19 derailed the 2020 event to a smaller-scale affair, but it was back in full form this year, celebrated in a week-long event at Coal Drops Yard in London. It culminated in the winners of the four catwalk awards being announced on Friday evening.

This year for the first time, the Christopher Bailey Award was given in order of achievement to three graduates focusing on either womenswear, menswear or gender neutral collections. The new initiative replaces the previous awards for: Collection of the Year, and the Menswear and Womenswear Awards.

Christopher Bailey Award Winners:

First Place: Jasmin Bourne, Manchester Fashion Institute at Manchester Metropolitan University

Second Place: Darcie Hancock, Kingston University London

Third Place:  George Martin, Cambridge School of Visual & Performing Arts

Sustainability Trailblazer Award:

Madeline Lewis-Brown, Salford University
